Actually we just made "special items" (gilgamesh for example is meant to be harder to get, that's why it has better stats) available to everyone if the prices on the special items drop (and they will because there will be a huge influx of BPs from WK winners).

Also, why is everyone basing their argument on the assumption that the crafter get's +ed items? +0 Items are the norm, and +es are just "icing on the cake", you can never make your calculations around the fact that you'll get lucky on the dice roll because then you're probably going to loose more than you'd make. It's like in pvp you'd say "Yeah, i'll go with this 5 archer form. Every one of them will crit on every shot on the main and i'll win".

The reason crafting is good at high levels is just because boxes are scarce and there aren't enough of them to go around so you can equip everyone how you'd like. Don't you think that'd change if suddenly the winners got 100 high level boxes/weekend? (random number)

The "unique" equipment boxes aren't purchasable with battle points in the first place.

We're basing our argument on it because the roll of dice is heavily skewed in your favor. You can either randomly make 15 really good items which will get you your money back, or you'll get a crazy + and make WAY more than you originally put in. Crafters really don't have it as bad as you think, and they still won't after this change.

This sounds like crafter who likes to charge full mat cost for +0 equipment. Understanding the chances and in general probability theory may lead you to different conclusions. This is like saying "it always comes down to the river on that there poker show!"

Nonplussed (hah! get it?) items the mode (most common). Nonplussed is just about the median (exact middle result when the results are put in order). Nonplussed is NOT the long term average of a craft from a craft value (2^x method) point of view. Any crafter generating a lot and all workload for one specific equipment skill should be able to account for this to some degree in some manner.

That's basically how it must be for someone to make a profit on something crafted, otherwise, why craft (sure i have a chance to get more), when i can sell the mats for the same price for sure. This system basically tells the crafter "screw you, go gamble" (because that's what hoping for +ed gear is). Unless you have proof that getting +ed items happens on a regular basis, there is absolutely no reason to make it a baseline.

And crafters make their money back from +0 because the drop rates are what they are. What do you think would happen if the market suddenly got flooded with boxes from your proposed change? The prices for those specific items would go down and suddenly they wouldn't get their money back from normal items.

Dont really know how but I too believe that something must be tweaked. Atlanticas economy is failing and its not just about the weekly tournaments its about many other stuff like craft. Crafting should be a way to pull the economy back up when it starts to go down and that its just not possible because craft is only a burning-gold activity.

Okay, you are replying to me and assigning a propsed change to me with which I have no involvement or comment. I apologize for taking this off-topic; it really has nothing to do with weekly championships.

We could do a full mathematical analysis of drop rates, mat costs, and profit expectations. I doubt you want to get into it. I doubt you would listen if I just started blabbing. I thought I as making a pretty clear allusion that I do have evidence. If you want to whip out MiniTab, Excel, OpenOffice, MatLab, or whatever, PM me and maybe we can share some of the data.

I'd actually be interesting to see all of this, because I'm also doubting that my idea would wreck the crafting business like it's been claimed it would.

PS. Conqueror's boxes and Freezing boxes need to become cheaper at Pointry. Why are they so damn expensive? They're too damn expensive. Who would spend all those points when they can just get gold from Signs?

if thats how it should be, why would i Buy anything at all and not craft everything by myself? at lvl 90+ workloads are not really a problem and i would either earn a lot of money if getting (+x) or not lose any money.
