1. Adventure
...

I like the ideas here. I think it'd also be rather interesting if traveling through time messed with alternate timelines, or foiled futures to get what we have now. Like, maybe some alternative to the human race that we have to stop so they don't end up being the dominant species in the future. Mole men from the center of the earth or what have you. >3

While I mention it, perhaps this would offer a way to introduce new player classes or races, if it's appropriate.

2. Allies

...

So like, international questing? That sounds sweet.

I think it'd also be nice to borrow from another game, City of Heroes, and allow players to elevate, or lower the levels of friends or themselves respectively so they can enjoy the same content without penalties. For instance lowering my level to match my friend who just started so we can advance through the quests together.

3. Settlement

...

Yay families. Would this in theory be marriage with another player, or those random NPCs we see wandering the world from time to time? Marrying a beastmaster might be interesting. Oh the kids we'd have... Wait, horns?

4. Competition

...

Maybe less on the fighting in this case, because we can get enough of that everywhere else. Competitions aren't tests of strength all the time.

if Troy fails ... you developers should probably start preparing your resumes as the playerbase will nerf you in droves by leaving.

All your eggs are in this one basket -- pray that you are good enough to pull off a win as you've already deserted and broken trust with the playerbase.

Have a nice day as personally ... I think Troy will be a failure based on the experience I've had with AO and the screw-ups you've made with coding / testing and not being able/willing to fix bugs.

As I hate games based on TBS, I couldn't really care less about it, but I fear I'll have to deal with it even without wanting, as
probably we'll have to go there on occasion, as possibly will be mandatory during the quest.

Strangely, I'm more interested in the housing system, though I fail to see the need of it (possibly is a Korean thing, like their
tendency to see mechs everywhere).

I'm happy with the game as-is. Hope I can keep that way after this amount of *crap*tent arrives.

2 thoughts.

1. Fix the bugs before releasing new content (wow logic lol)
2. IM < game play

Then maybe AO actually has a future.
Just my two cents.

The moment Nexon a.k.a MapleTards creator buy Ndoors share, there is no hope or future left for the game...

Why does everything cost so much, I mean the money we spend just goes to the game. Who gets rich off of these prices. A house costing 500 million, if that's the case I should get a Mansion with a swimming pool, a tennis court, and a golf course with 5 limousines and a Jet plane. Come on NDOORS are you on Crack.. Make the price twice the amount in the real world. Like 500 thousand to 1 million, then maybe the newbies could get one after a couple of weeks.. Lets be realistic here, you hyped the new update without letting us know how much its going to be, and 14 hrs. of fiddling are thumbs waiting for the greatest update to come. You punch us in the face with these Ridiculous Prices.. Sorry Ive had enough of my ranting, I'll let the other players put there Two Cents in....

I kinda like the pricing in the game. whats the point on "noobs" being able to buy all features (including insane armor for future use) within the first couple of weeks. The idea that you have to play for months to obtain something special/valuable is kinda a good drive in the game.

"A Look Into Atlantica's Future"

Here is mine:

Atlantica is done for. The developers have forgotten which dream they helped to come true: a mmorpg with a turn-based battle-system. Instead they had two pet projects, TBS and housing, which both are "alien" concepts propped onto the fundamentally healthy concept of AO. Now this strong concept must not only bear a buckload of bugs, carried since the stone age of this game, but also nerfs, negligence and these two new swells.

What I see is darkness for AO.

what future ? the sheer stupidity shown by AO developers and the sheer uncaring of our beloved FM's make this a failure. I've come back after a long break to find that the number of people buying IM items has gone down a lot. I hope the same thing happens on all the servers because this is the only message this company understands.

The Item Mall isnt the problem. It is the lack of quality control within the game. There are so many bugs that I would say have been there for almost two years still and not been fixed. Add to that every "major update" they make to the game that ruins everything all over again. Clearly the future of AO is a bug riddled game that no one will want to play because it will be unplayable.

I would like all changes to be in the patch notes. Specifically the fishing nerf they did. The removal of ALL boxes and the increase of fishing rods breaking per fish caught.
