and lacks severe firepower, meaning opponent has little worries of dying
and upon closer look no healer, easy build to just demolish with any damage build

and if there is as daunting as a skill as war cry, there is no reason why there can't be the opposite.
You're missing the obvious. There's one way to remove buffs from your opponent: dispel scrolls. Compare this to three ways to remove debuffs from yourself: puri scroll, HG, and salvation. As it stands, the only way to remove a powerful buff is to place a more powerful debuff on your opponent. In context, our current most powerful buffs are seth, hwarang's aura, and fury. Even with all three on, you can't fight if war cry is on as well. So the only way to get something on is to have something orthogonal to war cry (pretty much only thing left is defensive buffs and buff magic damage) or make it so absurdly powerful you stand no chance against it without war cry. |

then just add a way to dispel powerful buffs on your opponent
the reason why there is no way to do it (other than dispel) are a few:
1) there are very few multi-turn-lasting buff spells (shooting stance for example; seth's but seth's has obvious drawbacks)
2) using skills such as silence and freeze, in a way, "dispels" buffs and passive skills. |

Maybe not if it's punisher alone. But if it's punisher + monk. I can see you could avoid that AP inadequacy.
Add that there's no "never let your monk be in combo 1 and not awaken him" BS we always see. You can be a bit more laid back with punisher AP spending. |

Your gonna need alot of actions to AP drain a DMF, esp with maxed speed cast
Drain 1 punisher, that has sub par ap gain, no ap passive, he can be drained EASILY
So? you ask? You can keep a punisher AP drained almost the WHOLE fight, try to do that with a dmf, i can guarantee you that you will fail

Now you say _I_ can't do it. Sure, I probably not the smartest one out there to use this kind of formation for that I may do some mistake over here and there. So what? are you saying there won't be anyone be able to make use this kind of formation ?
You can HG the punisher to counter the AP drain.
Giving an example how someone fail to use certain formation is certainly the best argument, sir.
