![]() Developer Posts: 7 ![]() | The newest mercenary to be introduced to Atlantica is finally here! Nina Paganini, the Minstrel, will serenade you with her music!
Background: Nina Paganini’s family was living in Italy; however, they immigrated to Northern America a long time ago. Nina’s family can play any instrument really well, actually too well, so her home town people thought Nina’s family was demonic. Because of this, they had to leave their home town. Nina wanted to learn instruments other than the violin so she went to Detroit and learned guitar; however, Detroit had been ruined so she had to go back to her home in Dallas. However, her parents had been killed by Machine Gun Brooks’ gang and her parent’s keepsakes have been stolen by them. So we have to help her to seek revenge against Machine Gun Brooks and get her keepsakes back.
Skills: Salvation – Removes allies’ magical effects and heals them. Hallucination – Deals damage to a single target and makes them unable to use magic. Seal Power Saw – Decreases attack power of the enemy’s saw-type mercenaries and seals their magic.
Paganini is the first mercenary that can use an instrument, and acts as a counter to saw-type mercenaries. Her recruiting quest has a time limit and requires players to complete before the time is up. We hope you will enjoy the newest addition to the line-up of mercenaries, the Minstrel! | ||

It'd be about as broken as a row or column MoM in PVP. I mean, a column version + Exo + AP Drain = 100% stun. Row version is like a better Silence. So yeah, single target is good enough as is. | ||

![]() Cursed Swordsman Posts: 59 ![]() ![]() | I doubt the healing from Salvation will be as strong as the "pure" heal spells like the Shaman's Blessing of Light or Oracle's Heal, but I suppose that's going to be a given. She might be worth considering over Oracle for PVP, or to replace one of my monks. I feel she's gonna be the new "must-have" merc for single-monk formations to be able to cope with DMF-Stun builds. And I certainly prefer Salvation over HG, since you can use healing skills afterwards. | ||

Not nearly as useful as MoM... single target silence = still can guard turn away / attack the right target, and once HGed, merc will be able to act as normal. | ||

(Join a nation, have super expensive items) Why not make new content for everyone, not just hard core players? Time limit means I almost certainly won't be able to do this, since I can only play a few hours a day (if I'm lucky). | ||

While it's all good that you have new mercs coming out and such, the problem is that you are still lacking in completeness for the current. Since I am on this thread, it's obviouos I am talking about the musicians. Now I know you guys have read the comments about why there is no quest weapon reward for the musicians, unlike the other mercs who get them(sword, bow, spear...all of them I think but powersaw), and why the musicians have a free hand with nothing to put there. Why is that? If the melee can have a guardian stone, and the magic an orb, why not musicians? It's obivous what it should be. A gutiar pick. For the music main and merc, you should have a craftable item like guardian stone for melee, or a armor item like orb for magic(this would be better!). Now, it doesn't have to be something all powerful, but just enough to enhance the musicians current attributes. Please take this into serious consideration, as it will please all the musician lovers out there. | ||

When the class came out, it was announced that Musicians are basically magic mains who happen to wear range armor. You can see how they emphasize this by the weapons. A Instrument and a Staff attack power, Vit, Int are completely the same. Compare DG instrument and DG Staff. http://www.atlantica-db.com/item/instrument/dragon-god-s-instrument... http://www.atlantica-db.com/item/staff/dragon-god-s-staff-i134 But just as a Staff main can not wear pants, a Instrument main do not have a off hand. So in terms of equipment I think Musician and Staff mains are pretty even. Thus wanting instrument users to have an off-hand is like asking staff users to have a pants made for them. | ||
